Frequently asked questions
FAQ Les Secrets de la Nature
Accommodation, glamping tents, jacuzzis, meals, activities, events and access to the estate: here are the answers to the most common questions before booking or requesting a proposal.
Before your stay
Useful information to prepare your visit
This page brings together the main practical information to prepare a nature stay in Dordogne, book a guest room, a glamping tent with private jacuzzi, the family mobile home or organise a countryside event.
For a group project, birthday, family reunion, team day or all-inclusive stay, the most effective option is still to contact us so we can build a proposal adapted to your date, budget and number of participants.
Booking & organisation
How can I book accommodation?
You can book directly online by clicking the Book button on the website. You can also call us to book by phone, or send us a request by WhatsApp. Once the booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with the useful information for your stay.
Can we organise a birthday, a family reunion or a family meal without sleeping on site?
Yes. The estate can host events with or without overnight stays: family meals, countryside birthdays, convivial afternoons, family reunions, gatherings with friends or team days. The simplest option is to request a proposal so the organisation can be adapted to the number of guests and the date.
Can you help organise a group stay?
Yes. We can help with the organisation: menus, meals, layout of the spaces, activities, birthday cake, simple decoration, coordination with local artisans or practical adjustments. The goal is for the stay to feel smooth, without turning organisation into a burden.
How many people can the estate host?
The estate can host up to 30 people maximum, depending on the chosen package, the distribution across the accommodation and the organisation of the stay. For a group project, the best option is to contact us so we can check together which solution is the most suitable.
Accommodation & comfort
Do the tents have real beds?
Yes. The tents are equipped with real beds and comfortable mattresses. The idea is to enjoy a glamping stay close to nature, without sleeping directly on the ground.
Do the tents have electricity?
Yes. The tents have lighting and a power strip for charging or plugging in your devices. The adjoining kitchens also have electricity.
Do the tents have a kitchen?
Yes. Each tent has a small adjoining kitchen with a fridge, sink with drinking water, 4-burner gas barbecue, gas hob, crockery, cutlery, plates and everything needed to cook simple meals during your stay.
Are towels provided?
Towels are provided for the guest rooms. For the tents and the mobile home, they are not included in standard bookings, except in specific cases or for all-inclusive stays arranged in advance.
Are the jacuzzis private?
Yes. The three tents and the mobile home each have a private jacuzzi. Between each stay, the jacuzzi is emptied, cleaned, disinfected and refilled with fresh water.
Is the mobile home really air-conditioned?
Yes. The mobile home has real air conditioning, with an indoor split unit and an outdoor unit, powerful enough to maintain a pleasant temperature even in the middle of summer.
Access, estate & activities
Is the estate suitable for everyone?
The estate is natural and slightly hilly. To reach some tents, especially the Lakeside Tent and the Forest Path Tent, you need to allow for a little walking, with a descent on the way there and an uphill walk on the way back. It is not a difficult hike, but you do need to be comfortable walking on ground that is not flat.
Is there parking?
Yes. The estate has on-site parking. When properly organised, it can accommodate a significant number of vehicles, which is practical for groups and events.
What activities can we do on site?
On site, you can enjoy the ponds, fishing, the pétanque court, the games room, the small children’s play area, walks, shaded corners, hammocks in summer, the vegetable garden and the estate’s outdoor spaces.
Can we fish in the ponds?
Yes. The ponds are well stocked, including roach, perch and large carp. Fishing is allowed on a no-kill basis, with the fish released back into the water and treated with respect.
Are there things to do around the estate?
Yes. Around the estate, you will find the Forge of Savignac-Lédrier, the Papeterie de Vaux, Hautefort, Ségur-le-Château, Pompadour, Jumilhac, Tourtoirac, Rouffiac, the Auvézère gorges, Lascaux and many Terra Aventura trails.
Meals & estate produce
Do you offer table d’hôtes meals?
Yes, table d’hôtes meals and group meals are possible by reservation, depending on availability, the season and the type of stay.
Can we get vegetable baskets?
Depending on the season, we may be able to offer small vegetable baskets from the garden or include garden produce in certain meals. Naturally, this depends on the harvests of the moment.
Are all-inclusive stays possible?
Yes. For certain groups or events, we can offer packages where much of the organisation is taken care of: meals, prepared beds, activities, logistics and tailor-made support.
